Hey Floridians.

My Family's heading down to florida in about 3 weeks. I was wondering if some locals could suggest any good car related activities to check out. Shops, shows, what ever you can think of. Anything that could break up the Disney madness. We'll be in the greater Disney area from Sept. 21-30.

Oldtown is in Kissimee, near Orlando and they have a car cruise that is supposed to be pretty cool every Saturday night. Here is a link:

Also, Garlits Museum is a must see and is a little ways from Orlando (Ocala) but not horribly far.

He has some pretty cool stuff in there.

 

As mentioned, The Fantasy of Flight is very cool and only about 20-30 minutes west on I-4 . Garlits Museum is full of really cool stuff and probably closer to an hour and a half away. Old Town is right where you will be on Hwy 192.

 

All good ideas, and Kennedy Space Center is only a few miles east.

 

Don Garlits place is a way better choice than Old Town. 5 years ago Old Town was a great place to go but it has gone down hill in a big way in my opinion. It's just gotten run down and dirty. Last time I took the family there was bad and I decided that I won't be going back.
