Yes, Wednesday is the first official day and the best day of the event in my opinion. By all means come Wednesday. For now Friday and Saturday look ok too but we plan to be there rain or shine.

Rain, will ruin all those "Barn find" "Original Patina" treasures! Boots and an Australian slicker and I'm good to go, see you there. Bob

Set up day is Tuesday, most vendors will be there and open while they unload.

  6. Boy, are you in for a surprise!! If you went to Carlisle and thot it was something, you ain't seen nothin' yet! You probably didn't find what you were looking to purchase, either. Although, I'm pretty sure you'll find it at Hershey. Get on I-78 West in Allentown and eventually merge onto I-81 West towards Harrisburg. Get off at exit 77 - PennDOT changes those numbers from time to time, but I believe it's still 77 - in any case, the exit you want is Rt 39 toward Hershey. Keep following that windy, hilly road out past the AACA Museum until you come to the big intersection at the swap meet. Turn right, as does Rt 39, go about 100 yds and turn right into the parking area. Have a great and successful day!!!

  7. Will be there w/Gabby OBG 1,2,3 - only started going back about 6 years ago. I really enjoy the entire experience. We set up on Tuesday and will be there until sometime Friday afternoon .....

DSCF1800.JPG We arrived home THURSDAY afternoon at 2:30, rain killed the day, but we had fun Tuesday and Wednesday. I didn't bring any real quality parts, and neither did most vendors. 2019 will be my 50th year there plan to bring the T and some better things to sell. This '32 Vicky was rough, but a smoking deal IMO at $3,500. :)Bob

Glad I went to Carlisle. I found what I was looking for. I wanted to go to Hershey but I came down with a gout attack in my foot. Walking is very painful. If you've ever had an attack you know. Next year!

  18. Rainig too hard to get pics today. Only vendors with Larger tents doing business. I did manage to sell a 32 gas tank I was willing to set out in the rain (needed it gone, bought seats and needed the room). Friday should be real good but chilly.

  19. LongT, glad to hear that you got your part, although I am surprised. Sorry to hear about your gout. Good hunting at Hershey next year.

Actually based on several posts on here I wasn't going to go to Carlisle. Then I saw pic on Friends Who Like Fordy Fords, on Facebook, of a setup in Carlisle. In the pic was the windshield I was looking for. So I contacted the seller and went. I was still going to Hershey until my attack.

Thanks gout is a bitch. Started meds they usually worked pretty well.

If you go home before Sat. it doesn't count as a full year!! SO next year is 49 1/2. I was wet all day and still have had one of the best buying years at Hershey ever.
