Just wanted to share this with the HAMB....I did this rendering of my ongoing radical kustom shoebox project, the TELSTAR......then I loaded it into my trusty time machine and transported it back to 1959, where I convinced this gorgeous model to pose beside it in front of this amazing house... :) ...

great build! it's definitely reminiscent of GM motorama cars.

  8. Very cool rendering and I like where the car is headed, almost wouldn't have guessed what the original car was. Keep at it and keep us updated please (build thread maybe??)

oh and by the way, over here a ford telstar is something entirely different (horrible 80's - 90's rubbish). yours is much cooler lol. Ford_Telstar.jpg

We had those in South Africa, slightly different front-end styling. I remember the unfortunate badge on the back of the GLE trim level. It appeared to read "Telstargle".

It was basically a Mazda 626. I drove one belonging to a friend's mum once, it had the slowest steering I'd ever experienced. It felt like about seventeen turns lock to lock.
