    Hi all
I have a 32 ford 3 window all Henry steel, but the rear quarters and the passenger rear roof are not fixable so I will use Brookville parts.
So my question is, is it still a Henry steel or just a steel car?

These cars are coming up on a century old. Nobody expects every molecule of Henry's Patented Original Bessemer Steel™ to be intact. Patches, body filler and replacement parts are normal. It's OK to say it's Henry steel if the car was built in 1932 and you had to fix some damage.

Everything is fixable. You just need to find the right guy. Read the build thread of @33anda3rd(spelled that wrong) pickup re do.

  5. Repair panels are used on just about every old hot rod build. This is still going to be a "Henry steel" car...

A couple repro panels won't make it worth any less. And if the repair job is done nicely it should give you pride in the work done to keep it going.

If you get a new heart from a pig, a new knee or hip joint, do you change your name or social sec #? Yes even with a few needed repairs that would still be classified as a Ford survivor...

So if you buy a brand new Brookville body and cut out a chuck of the body and replace it with a section of original Henry steel does that make it real Henry original. I have seen guys start with a cowl and everything else is patch panels and weld and claim it’s original Henry steel. This has been discussed I don’t know how many times and you might as well throw in fiberglass also. If you build a car and you like it that’s all that counts. Drive it, enjoy it and don’t worry about what others think or say or feel the need to ask for permission. My opinion your mileage my vary.

It's a 3 window, that should be enough!
Sure, there is a wide gap between a stocker and a hot rod, there is also a lot of leeway even among the purist( traditional) hot rod culture.
Too much pidgeonholing hinders creativity, besides, aftermarket fenders are not a crime.

I used the ends of Camaro fenders for the cab corners on my Dodge PU, it’s still a Dodge;)

  15. To some, It doesn't matter is it's steel or not. I have known some guys that are so anal about glass cars that they never own a hot rod because they can't afford steel.

I have owned a coupe of glass cars in the past and they may not have been real steel but they were real fun,:) HRP

If the 32 body still retains at least 75% or more of original steel car, I would feel like that's a solid statement. An aftermarket steel body, with say an original deck lid or say an original door is stretching it a bit. If it really bothers you, I can take it off your hands so you won't loose sleep at night...:D:D

I have nothing against glass cars I just like steel
    I have a little question more, I have a 25 louvred 32 hood.
Why is the price so different from 20 to 25 louvred hoods?

The 25 louver hood was introduced late in the production run, to aid in heating/cooling issues so there were way more 20 louver hoods made... show us some pics and quite teasing us!

  26. Is your hood a original 25 louver or rootlib?

It’s a original one with no rust at all :)
It is just unbelievable how much the price difference is.
