I found enough to make eight patch panels for the lower cowl corners for less than $20 bucks. They come powder coated and with a couple of grates that you could use in your parts washer or whatever.
I like your thinking...but I still consider it cheatin' 'cause it looks like you bought it NIB at a big box store, or Amazon etc. To be traditional, you'da cut up the barbecue that was sitting on your patio deck...or found it at the dump.
