No way Ric, Joel has been hard at it.
Alright, so yeah, i bought another car. I just knew you guys would miss me so i had to get something i could complete a little quicker. ....Question, do i start "Henry J build 2.0" or just continue on this one?
Me Too! P bros
Starting here: Henry J 2.0 This is how she sits ATM. I intend to go in and redo it for weight reduction and to be set up NHRA legal. I take delivery on it on Monday. Let the fun begin
Nice 2.0 Uncle ....
Imo, Henry J cars are sick. Really rare around New England; saw my first one at a show last year. Keep up the good work, cannot wait to see how fast you can make it!
Ya sucked me in!
Can't go wrong having two to play with. Double the fun.
Ha Ha Ha, you bought another car, Henry J's have sucked you in ! That rear shot IS pretty tough looking.
Couldn't figure out where to put the beer cooler without a trunk, huh?
I'm diggin' that front axle. You made the right choice. J 1.0 was a P.O.S.
The second one, not the "Rusty Scupper"
Can you give some details on that front setup? I'm about to start gathering front suspension parts for a '53 and haven't decided which design I like best yet.
Looks 37-41 Ford to me.
You have the car yet?
Need to steal ideas on your build, And others. So I can come up with my own stupid insanity.
Yes, its a 39 ford truck axle according to the original owner. I will post some pics soon, im hoping to get in there this weekend and get some stuff done with it.
Yes sir, she is safely in my garage. It make me realize how truly small my garage is, the car looks huge lol
I meant should i start a new thread lol. I have decided to continue with this thread. =)
There was a complete Henry J, stock, solid car for sale at the N.E. Dragway Swap a couple of years ago for $5 grand!!!! I wanted it so bad I coulda cried!
Another time ( same place) a guy had a Bantam bodied altered for sale , SBC,, same price, with a trailer!!! Nothing fancy, homebrew, but it ran consistant times ( 10's) and didn't break! FUN!
Everyone needs one of these- it's good to scare the shit out of yourself once in a while!
Nice car(s), have fun, play safe, go fast.
Pulled the rearend out of her tonight (THe 8 3/4 didnt come with the car) and put my wheels on. Sort of. The fronts are just pushed on the front stud tips because its the wrong bolt pattern. so they will actually sit about an inch and a half further in. also i CAN move the rears in about 2 inches . I think it will look pretty tough.
That's gonna look mean!
If you need seats, this place has them on sale and free shipping. $90/side for seat and cover.
They also have the steering damper that Quain uses.
With the rears in a couple of inches its gonna look good! Must be pretty warm there - its 30 degrees here, so that's it - close down the city - its all done for the night
Current temp is 15 degrees. =0
My fancy phone says it feels like 14 I ain't going out.
