I am looking for photos or drawings of flatheads and 50's hemis. I am specifically looking for flat side views. Technical drawings would be slick too. I looked in google patents for the technical drawings, but it seems that the engines were patented piece by piece rather than all at once.
    Thanks!

On another note, and something I know we don't have in the HEMI Tech YET, is actual old drawings of components from the "engineer's eye". Would LOVE to see some of that posted. Cutaways, section view, etc...

There is some of that here for flatheads.

very cool! How about some side views? I used to have a shop manual for my '51 ford that had great tech drawings. I may end up buying another shop manual just for the images.

This shows some of the differences between the 331 354 392.

Another source would be old SAE technical papers (sometimes called 'white papers')--manufacturers often wrote one up and submitted it under the chief engineer's name when a new engine was released. There are some quality illustrations in those, and they're accurate.

I have them for some small-block Chryslers, but no early hemi--sorry.
