I have an early 60's Chevy wiper motor with 4 terminals on it. In looking at it from the interior here is what I see: X... X X X The first term is spaced away from the other 3. 1... 2 3 4 Using the above numbers can someone tell me the wiring for this thing? I do believe the wiper motor is "hot" at all times then given a ground through the switch to operate. Is this correct?
I think it's slightly different from that...one terminal is hot all the time, one is switched hot. The hot at all times one runs the "Park" function, letting the wipers move all the way down and then shutting off by a little breaker point inside the case worked by a cam on some rotating part.
