I haven't found anything 40's Chevy specific other than what you mentioned for my 48 Chevy. Although I will likely be ditching the I6 eventually if it needs internal work once I get it unseized.

If you specifically need engine parts, like a rebuild kit, there are places that have rebuild kits for almost any engine out there. A few good google searches should yeild something useful. IIRC, I searched a while back on rebuild kits, and they were available, but ran about $1,000 and change for a complete kit.

most places can get parts for these engines, but you have to look up the part # yourself. also try langdons stovebolt, patrick's antique trucks, kanter, or inliners

Try "Old Car Parts" in Portland Oregon, 503-771-9416 , they have tons of used parts and some NOS parts are are very reasonable, quoted me $150 for a complete chassis, and they are very friendly.

    also try

    Old Chicago Street Rod Bodies
    16169 S.E. 106th
    Clackamas, OR. 97015
fax 503-655-7884 no web site but I have bought 1948 chevy parts from them (fender braces) they dont have alot of pre 1955 chevy stuff, but I did see a pair of NOS door skins for an Aerocoupe
