I just bought a '52 caddy and have a few questions? Where is the vin# located and how do I remove the rear seat back? I enjoy reading the caddy threads here, a good source of inspiration. Mine needs a little work but its complete, and besides its only time and money right???
Vin should be located on a passenger's side frame, top, near the A-arm and behind it... R- PS, does your rear seatback have a center arm rest...??? If so, there are prolly two bolts behind it...pull it down, flip up the cardboard part and look behind it . There may be two metal "holders" at the bottom of the seat as well, those will have to be moved/released with a pliers...once done, lift up on the seat as there may be a couple of "pins" at the package tray and it'll slip up off those.
