Help with Front end treatment (w/ pics!)

Hey guys, I havE a 54 ford customline im working on & want to do a special grill treatment that ive seen done on some oher 54's. I think it looks darn good, but have a few question that im eager to ask and know about. Here it is-

Its by using the stock grill and making it into a floating grill.
My question it HOW DO YOU MAKE OR WHAT DO YOU USE TO HAVE THE GRILL TRIM GO AROUND THE GRILL CAVITY???

stock grill breaks up the trim, how do you "connect" them? Do they sell trim like that?

My suggestion would be to find another set of trim and tig weld the left side to the right side and vise versa. The hard part will be the center but thats only if your not a good welder.
