I'm installing the stock motor back into an A that has been out many years. I put new rubber in the motor mounts and I have no room to sandwich everything together in the rear. Minus one of the 1/4" rubber peices everything fits together fine. Is there a trick here? Is the frame bent in?

    Thanks for any help!

Rubber goes on the outside of the frame, I believe.

What he said....it eleminates the metal to metal you would get if all the rubber was in between of the engine and the frame.....remember the bolt holding it all together has to rest on something...think of it as double insulated....

Haha... I should have added "too". Rubber goes on the outside of the frame... too.

I agree on the correct rubber placement above . Somtimes its still a tight fit on some cars . you may need to spread the frame a little to wedge it in

I guess I get to break out the Port-A- Power tomorrow night! :) It is VERY tight, Like a 1/4" tight.
