Help! paint stripping ?

ok need info on stripping paint from Magnesium wheels and was thinking MEK or Laquer thinner and wire brushing what was left behind any suggestions I am trying to go back to as cast on the centers of some wheels and was basically wondering would chemical strippers damage the Magnesium?

 

i would just sandblast them.

 

Here's a thread about this very subject. I can't speak personally for any of the methods tried but I'll advise against the propane torch method. (I'm sure Unkl Ian was being sarcastic)
