Thats a great tank! Nice find. Its a Fordson tractor from england. They hold more gas then a stock T tank. So they make a nice gas tank for a hot rod. US ones are the same shape but I haven't seen one with two gas caps.

posters 2 and 3 are right. Ford tractor

  5. It has 2 caps because it is actually 2 tanks inside approx 2/3 and 1/3. The largest side was filled with gas. The smaller side with kerosene. Late 20s in to the 30s kerosene was MUCH cheaper than gas. You would start the tractor on gas and then there was a valve below the tank and you could adjust the kerosene to gas ratio. The more kerosene you ran the cheaper to run, but less power.
    Yes. I'm that old.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a late teens to 20's tank from what I've seen on the Fordson web pages. They must have used this tank for years.

I bought one of those on Ebay for 20 bucks, incorrectly listed as a model T.

It was too big for my needs, so I put it back on Ebay, and it brought 400 bucks.
