    1940 Dodge Guy

I have a 1940 Dodge Truck I am working on and cannot seem to figure out how to remove the door latch assemblies. I have everything else completely removed from the doors and all of the bolts holding the latch assemblies in are removed as well but the block that sticks through the door is attached to a long arm and there is a metal window track running down the inside of the door which is welded in place that keeps the latch assembly from coming out.
If anyone can give me some advice on how to remove this I would greatly appreciate it.
    Photos are attached.
    Thanks Danny

look more closely at that channel, see if you can disconnect one end of it, and lift it off of the welded in tab?
