Having trouble deciding what to do with paint! it was originally a light yellow, dont want that. The current red is tired and you can see where the lower door panels are in primer after repair. Ideas? photoshops? Hope this pic works if it helps ill get it out and take a nice side view shot. Thanks for looking!

here's the best images ive found around the web, but im not sold.

this one is a much brighter red than the current color. so far probably the front runner. Still id consider a more substantial change

That car would look great with the factory yellow and white top.

yeah thats not sexy enough.. the car is aethetically close to original so i dont want to go too outlandish, but not in love with the original color swatches.

currently black and white. Though that may be refreshed in a few years too, so not something that needs to be taken into consideration necessarily.

kinda like this color ontop, white/pearl on bottom, but this combo feels a little geezer-y

Black really doesn't look like I thought it would. It wouldn't get my vote anymore.

I had one that was like a salmon color & white, the ladies loved it. Not seen very often either.

Found this red one on carnut.com gallery[IMG]

I also like this yellow and black on this ford if you could get the colors and paint breaks rite on the merc, more of a brite or goldish yellow like this instead of some of the more pale yellows Ive seen on these cars.

  20. I'd go with one of those new import colors...a deep, deep root beer metallic with a little pearl. It's a factory color for a lexus or toyota or some shit..very classy.

Picking a color is the easy part! I have to ask, how deep do you plan on digging into this car?

Ok....here's my take.....I saw this at the last 100 Car Pile Up in Decatur, Ill a couple of years back.
It was all White w/Metallic Blue in the door cove (top of door). The interior was the same blue (factory, I believe). It was just nosed and decked and lowered. It was stunning.
