OK, Tammy Miller left. She was my POC. TAMCO is named after the wife. I'm square now. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Looks like she left around August 2021. Doesn't sound like it ended well.

I looked in some of my old color books thinking of a Mercedes color and found this 2004 Honda code G511M. PPG CODE 6210.

Yeah, I have a weird deal when guys put colors on cars that weren't really in that era. I know it doesn't matter, but something always looks off to me. It doesn't even have to be a factory color, it can be from another mfg. but it needs to be of the same era.

I'm a muted kinda guy. Less is more in my opinion. You'll never see anything I own in a primary color. It needs to flow or I'll hate it and thus it gets sold.

You want a green, use that Sierra Spruce Poly.

  9. 50 Fraud did a customline a similar colour a few years back. It looked good on that and I have seen it in person.

That looks pretty close. That comes up with the paint @gimpyshotrods came up with. We may have a winner.

Then use that color mix as a start, and have them add more metallic to lighten the color until you are happy with it.

    That's a great color.

X38, I stand corrected. I was thinking it was more of a slate blue.

We will see what she ends up with. We change colors every so often. I have plenty of time, it's in primer. and still needs a lot of bodywork.

  16. Ha! Funny. I posted a picture of a M car with that color to show what it looks like but the post was deleted because we don't allow M cars. I guess it's ok to talk about it but not show it. There are lots of pics on the web though.

That green looks half way close to a lot of 50's and early 60's cow pee green. Including 56 Hudson/Nash willow green. It isn't far off from what you see on some 57 Pontiacs with fresh paint claiming to be lime fire green either.

wish I could find that one picture of a 1951 mercury coupe that I bought in Memphis back in 1969. of course it was a repaint but it’s just uncanny how much that lima bean green color looks like the lima bean color that was on my mercury.

I don’t envy you trying to pick a color with the wife. I’ve been struggling with that for a year or more. I did spend the $100 on several different colors and we still haven’t found “the one” for our woody. Along the way I also tested several dark metallic blue hues for my roadster. I got some great input from folks here on some beautiful colors. But, I found that Moriarty is right, my roadster is a ‘62-65 era build and while the late model colors “pop” with more pearls and metallic, they don’t look the period. I settled on ‘63 Buick Diplomat Blue metallic (aka: Corvette Daytona Blue Poly)
It has the ‘60s look that I was looking for.
My GFs mother had a ‘64 Chevelle that was a green metallic very similar to the color you originally posted, don’t know what it was called. Good luck.

Don't forget, she's a woman and entitled to change her mind multiple times. She has a definite theme for the car, but the color eludes us.

i wouldn't get hung up on choosing a color off that sample from tcp website they claim color might not be exact and believe me they ain't kidding. i ordered exact light blue i wanted by there color sample and paint turned out to be a very ugly dark blue. i would say there color sample was at least 4 or 5 shades off
