I am looking for info on this un finished chassis. What it might have been built for and what it might have looked like when it was finished. My dad got it at a auction in Iowa where he also bought the body of 1965 "powers & riley" 440 powered top fuel front engine dragster. I talked to John Riley and the body and chassis are not connected in any way. HELP! square tubing? i can't believe that's a professionally built frame , maybe some homemade attempt that never got finished
Never seen anything like it. But it looks like it was made for some specific application. Just can't imagine what.
Well, it seems to have been built for some race application as opposed to street use. What makes me say that is the extra support rails in the rear and also the position of the second crossmember (engine mount ?). Looks like the engine was going to be set back quite a bit, maybe it was for some roundy round car like a sprint car or similar ? I don't know, but it was purpose built, as alchemy said. Don
Hey thanks guys.........there was no body with this chassis............I expected it to be a home make job.......that never got finished.
