My brother-in-law went to an auction a couple years back and got this little trailor. He brought it to my house and asked me to try and sell it during the "30 Mile" yard sale held every labor Day weekend in our county (we live on the main route). It didn't sell so a couple months ago he told me it was mine if I wanted it. I don't have any idea what it came off of. It has a straight axle under the frame and hub caps on the wheels which say GM. I know that doesn't mean anything but I was hoping maybe someone here could help me find out what I have with a few pictures. The tailgate has no stamping on it. It's not the greatest of shape but it is one helluva conversation piece. One guy said you need to put that on a Rat Rod! I told him I liked the trailor too much to ruin it! 48 Poncho
It IS a 26-27 T bed which does share the tailgate with As. The earlier 25 bed doesn't have wheel arches in the sides. The A bed has larger wheel arches and use a spacer between Bed wall and fenders. The stake pockets are also different than As. Looks like the T frame was used under it too judging from the hitch end.
Not sure on that but it does appear to be 26/27 http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/118802/138095.html?1272419504
It is a Model T box because it has the front stake pocket set back, which I believe was to accommodate the RPU models that had a fold down roof. When the roof was folded down it did not interfere with the stake posts etc. Other than that they are almost the same as a Model A box
Yep, 26x27 T, I got a few other pointers to, if you look where it mounts to the model T subrails it has little bumps where the wheel wells are that match the subrails. also if you look at the front panel youll see some one welded up two verticle seams on the driver side, thats where the battery went i believe. but yeah, the two other obviuos reasons are the wheel wells offset to the front and the stake pockets not at the front of the box. jeff
I predicted longbed model A at first ,but now concur to the light that its a T due to stake config and wheel well placement ! Sure is bright in the light carol ann,,,{crossover}
