I'm sure this is mid 30s and it takes a grille insert, because the bolt holes are there. backside above
It could also be a 34 Master. Would need a couple measurement to tell the difference from the 34-5 standard
Do you have the stainless steel insert that holds the grill material to the grill shell?. If you do then you really got something because i don't think they are repoped by anyone and most cars just have that piece made from painted fiberglass which is not near as cool looking as the stainless.
Where do I measure? I might as well get as close as I can. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
definetly 34 34 chev. I forget the measurments right now , but the master grill is a few inches taller than a standard grill. I want to say a master is 44 and standard is 41 . I will check tomorrow as I have o e of each in the loft
Hey Bean, that's where I started looking too. There were a lot of heart shaped grills from '33 to 36. I looked at Grahams, Hupmobile, Auburn and a lot of close but no cigar shells. When I checked back here and they said a 1935 Chevy I was flabergasted, but I believe they're right. I never noticed how pointy the bottom of the Chevy was.
I studied the pic and my shell doesn't curve as much. It's hard to tell for certain. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Chevy is more straight down the sides and then has the [33-34 ford] looking kickout on the bottom. Mopar is not as straight on the sides.
Not Mopar. Mopars (at least 33/34 Dodges have a roll at the bottom that fits the fenders. You can see it in the Dodge pictured above, the roll however is painted were the rest is chrome. It's all one piece, someone just painted out the roll. Not that I'm an expert, just happened to be repairing a 34 Dodge grill shell right now.
That's what I was thinking to Beaner. probably a '33 Plymouth because the '34 has the appron attached to it. ' 33 Plymouth '34 Plymouth
It is 34 chevrolet The only question is If it is master or standard The 34 standard shell will also fit the 35 standard car
The apron, now I recall trimming one when we pulled the fenders off an LA powered '33 that we pulled the fenders off of in the '90s.
