A friend of mine said it looks like a late 30’s Ford steering wheel, but I thought I’d get the HAMB’s thoughts so hopefully I can identify it and pass it on to someone who needs it.
    Thanks

    Not Ford. I'm thinking '37-'38 chevy. That's a guess.

  3. Insides behind the horn button don,t look like Ford to me. ( those 3 angles and 3 dots )

Nope , not 1936 Buick , I got one and thats not it , seaching the google picture I found this picture of a 1937 Buick dash and the spreader block that is a cylindrical piece on my 1936 Buick steering wheel looks like its rectangle block with a step around the edges so my best guess is 1937 Buick even if I never seen one ...

Not '37 Chevy - the "banjo string frets" are different. Not sure if they were change for '38 or not.

This is supposedly a 1937 Buick Banjo steering wheel.
The 38 Buick's wheel supposedly had a step bent into the wire spokes so the horn ring would sit lower into the spokes and not be activated as easily.

  10. I'm the farthest thing from a Buick expert, but maybe the different models didn't have the same wheel? Weren't there Specials, Century's and Roadmasters in the the 30's? I would be willing to bet that the upscale Roadmaster would have had a different wheel than a lesser model.........Don.
