If there isn't a headlight bar it's a Pierce Arrow.

Looks like it might be a Buick. Just guessing. Buicks usually had the grille and hood shaped like that

Those wheels look like early 20's Maxwell Touring.

  8. My guess is a 1926 Chevrolet Superior touring car.

the chevy looks similar, but differences abound...notice how much shorter the hood is, for one thing.

With the bead in the skirts and those wheels I want to say that's a Flint

    Hello,

When I was researching for a drag racer named Jim Morris, I got two scenarios. We knew Jim Morris as the racer in a fast Buick powered street roadster that always gave the Jim Cassidy/Jr. Thompson street roadster a run for the money.

    1959-60 Jim Morris street roadster

But, the other information I was able to gather was that Jim Morris also had a Buick Phaeton with a supercharged Buick motor that was also in the drag racing circles. We do not know if this is the same Jim Morris, although by the time the Getty Images Photo was taken at Lion’s Dragstrip, it was 1965. By then, we were already into our next desert motorcycle racing adventures and surfing all over So Cal/Baja. No more weekly attendance at the drags for the both of the brothers.

The distinct headlights of the Jim Morris Buick Phaeton are an exact match (or so close) that I would go out on a limb and say the mystery Phaeton was a 1925 Buick Phaeton.

  16. A combination of a 1928 and 29 Buick. It has 28 bumpers I think?[IMG][IMG]

Nah guys it’s a Flint. 1925 Flint with a “California” top option that gives it hard side windows that can slide back and forth.
    I’m pretty sure about this.

Designed by the guys who later worked with Walt Chrysler. Interesting history.
