Technical Help e-brake

Hello just have a question I have a gm rear end that I'm replacing the wheel cylinders in but I was wondering what people are using for e-brake. The car is a 49 ford coupe thanks in advance

 

The stock stuff.

 

Same here. Whatever came with the rear end.
Two cables. Hook them up.

 

OK so the rear end came from a 1979 monte carlo so I need to hit the junk yard to get the cable and release handle? ? Sorry if this comes off as a stupid question just never had to add one before and I'm getting ready to start driving this more thanks

 

Check out Lokar. They have a nice, inexpensive set up. New cables, hardware and a variety of handles.

 

Use your ford e brake system just connect the GM cables to your ford stuff.

 

Doesn't matter much what the handle is. They are just cables.

 

Thanks fred I will check out lokar I think I'm heading on the right track now thanks guys..dirt -t. I have no ebrake handle in the car to work with so I need a new set up..
