I've got a completely rebuilt '40 Ford rearend assy. New brakes, drums, bearings, ring and pinion, transverse spring (reverse eye). Can I install this in a '38 Deluxe coupe (stock rearend and suspension) by just unbolting the origional and substituting the '40 assembly. I'm changing from mechanical to hydraulic brakes (the front brake assys and spindles coming from the same restored '40) and installing a '39 pedal assy and master cylinder. Any problems?

Both should have a 70" torque tube, and I believe the width is the same as well. Should work without any snags.
