Technical Help 1932 Ford Roadster where can I find this type of convertible top pins

    20190522_054114.jpg 20190527_150700.jpg These convertible top pins have a quick release button in front of them not working very well on some of them, I need to purchase new ones. If you know where I can purchase them please let me know thank you very much I thought I had a Bop Top but not sure

    'Lift the dots' is the common name for them. Almost all upholstery suppliers would have them.

    Thank you for the help during my search I don't find the push button type is this something different there is a push button at the end to attach and release before you can remove the top

    Would need more pictures to identify but it looks similar to the one I have from Lebaron Bonney.
    Too bad they're no longer in business.

    The ones on your roadster are not lift the dot, I’ve only seen them on ford tops

    Those look interesting. I assume the female side has a spring device to attach to the male. Can that female piece be welded without destroying the spring?

    I'm thinking of using it to secure my hood top.

    Tom, you can get them at a trim / auto upholstery supply house .A local one is on the south side Oak Lawn on 104th street. The name is Lite products and was called DuBouis fabrics at one time. Auveco is the company who I made those. How many are you looking for and have a few used ones from projects

    I agree with KFC they ain't Lift the Dot, they look more like some kind of Tenax, more difficult to get but you get them at boat places and upholstery shops, some of those places don't even know what they are or where to get them.

    Available at mac's they're called tack rail fastener part# 32-61781-1

    Looks like the top on my '32.
    LeBarron-Bonney made the one I have, but they are a non entity now!
