OK, my search for a Tudor was short, yet fruitful. I am picking up a nice '40 Standard from a shop in Ohio. It's nothing special, just a clean runner - EXACTLY what I was looking for. No more polishing and fretting - just DRIVING!

Before I post the photos I have to say why the HAMB rules. I, like many others, put a request for help post up and it was answered by several people. I asked if someone in Ohio could take a look at the car before I made my decision. Well LesIsMore stepped up BIG TIME. He drove 60 or so miles round trip in seven inches of snow today to look at the '40 for me! Not only did he check it out and call me while he was there with the car, but he shot photos and even a video for me! FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Where else do you find such cool people. So I want to extend a HUGE thanks to Les for doing something so cool for someone he doesn't even know.

I owe you. Watch the mail for a care package!

    The video...

Photos from Les and the seller (yes, the ground is Photoshopped in the first couple)...

That is one bitching ride..notice there is room for snuggling. SO.... are you and Ryan gonna have a new "Kar Klub"

I like the standard dash gauge panels even more than the deluxe. It's easier on the eyes and has a nice simplicity to it, yet very stylish. Congrats on what I would consider a trade up PLAYA.

I only had to see the picture of the kickup in front of the rearend to pass judgement on this one. No rust swelling, no seperation of the frame sections. This area is the death of this era Ford. The mud and salt gets thrown into this area of the frame and usually it's almost rusted in half and sagging. when you see this the rest of the floor, rockers, rear pan, etc. are commonly rusted through also.
    THIS ONE IS A KEEPER.

you and ryan suck. I was just getting comfortable with being a sloth on my '40, and now between Ryan's and Kirk's, I'm all motivated and stuff.

  28. So are you and Ryan trying to jack up the sedan prices by showing how cool they can be, or what?

Nice pick...looking forward to seeing how you personalize it...

Man nice car. I missed out on a nice sedan a few weeks ago. It was a 40 deluxe. Called one day too late. Didn't look as nice as this one though. I will have to keep the search going.
