The "Pontiac Jack" moniker was started by announcers at pulling events, where I was the lone contender running a Pontiac engine. From '84 to '99 I ran a variety of Pontiacs in my mini-rod, highlighted by eleven seasons with a blown-alky all-aluminum M/T hemi. I've bought a competently-built lakester (P-38 tank replica) and plan to get a taste of land-speed racing.
Welcome! Belly tanker? Alex Xydias would be proud of your ambitions Good luck in your goals and enjoy the HAMB... its a lot of fun!
Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, definitely Pontiac-powered. Probably a four-cylinder, 182 c.i. for class-F, using my "spare" hemi head. It can't be ready before the 2013 season (maybe!), but I'm excited to get going on it. [Pictures of Bourke's & Xdias's lakesters above the workbench to inspire me!]
