First off, I want to apologize for not introducing myself before making my first post.

I lurked here for a couple of months before finally deciding to join. Although I am not at all new to cars, I am fairly new to the traditional Rods & Customs (and basically to anything made before the 1960s), but I have some friends who are into this stuff, and that got me interested. I'm no kid. I'm 43 years-old, but I am aware of my "FNG" status, and the veterans here will certainly get my respect.

I have two project cars, neither of which will I talk about here, as no one would be interested since they are from the early '70s and early '80s, but it is my hope to acquire a '56 Olds 88 or 98 (gotta be a 2-door) in restore-able condition at a price I can swing, that I can make a mild Custom out of.

    Thanks for having me...

An olds would be a great build, and perfect for a custom car.

43 eh...??? The '56 Olds...ONLY if you shave the door handles and emblems, put on wide whites/hubcaps, fender skirts, two-tone it and slam it on the ground will those of us in ColoRODo accept you...

And you haven't been "had" just yet...wait...

    Welcome from Aurora...

Add welcome from SW Nebraska. If you have been dreaming about, lusting, for a 56 Olds, go get one!! It's just not right to harbor that desire and not go for it. Sell a kindey if you must, but make that dream a reality!! Best wishes.
