Hello everyone! A quick intro, I've been a car buff for many years and I've owned many over the years, anything from numbers matching muscle cars to customs... I'm currently working on my first build, it's a 1938 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup, which is what brought me to this forum, I'll need all the help I can get, LOL. Here's a few pictures of were I'm at with it... When I got it last year... My first mod, Mustang II front end, with tubular arms and Heidts coil-over... Back from the shop, with a Ford 9", panhard bars and Heidts coil-over, finished off with chrome artillery rims... It's great to see it at that stage, with the drive train in it for mockup and setting the ride height. I have many questions to come, stay tuned. All the best, Gazoo
...can't answer any '38 Dodge pu questions, but I can offer a huge welcome from the Big Smoke of Toronto.....
Yes it is a solid truck, a few small patches here and there on it, mostly the bottom of the doors and the cab corners. I debated whether to stay original (as it's 95% complete) or build a cruiser. So I ventured into the unknown, loving it so far. Gazoo
Hawkesbury and Gloucester (Ottawa). I see you're from Finch, I go to St-Alberts cheese factory when I'm in the area visiting relatives in Cornwall... All the best, Gazoo
Welcome from the Niagara Region. Those 30's Mopar pickups are my favourite pickup, and yours is really nice. Very neat MII installation and great stance. Looks like you're having fun, keep it up.
Thanks for the great comments, it's encouraging, and we all need some of that. I'm really happy with the way it's coming, the stance and everything so far, no mishaps or re-do's. When I first bought the truck, I thought it was a rather rare truck, as I haven't really seen any around before, even @ Moparfest. But since then, while doing research, buying parts, and the trips to the rod shop, there is at least four of these trucks here locally. I only wish I had a larger and heated garage to work in. Gazoo
Thanks for all the welcomes, this forum is GREAT! Tons of sweet looking rides, great info...this is awesome. I wish I had more time to spend on here, I could easily spend a few hours a day just surfin this forum, but that wouldn't get me in my drivers seat.
