Anybody got any pics from early to mid 60's Hell Drivers shows. Most of what I found online is movie related.

A man I know from Birmingham Alabama named Chester Honeycutt was a driver for several of these shows in the 50s and 60s. He tells some great stories. He is active in the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers he has some good photos on his part of their web site..

  6. I found a couple pictures of a local show in my girlfriends dad's stuff. I managed to only scan this one photo though.

    A few Canadian guys:
    "Lucky Lott"
    "Ken Carter"
    "Paul Ridell"
All ran their own travelling shows.

Forgot- On a similar theme were the guys that ran motorcycles around inside a huge wooden "barrel" usually refered to as the "Wall of Death" etc, used to travel with circus people.

Dodge sponsored a traveling show in the 60's called, the "Dodge Hell Drivers". I only remember one drivers name, Rebel Gates.
