  1. I was going to go back and get a few shots of that car, sorry I missed it. It was well deserving of an award.

Here are a couple more I took and a link to all in my SmugMug Album.

This last one was just begging for some added effects...

Alot of great cars. I just wish they would tighten the leash on the posted rules and start pushing the Rat Rods out. This is a great venue and could really be one of the best "Hot Rod" shows around. When I saw the 80's model caprice wagon pull in and get a killer front spot it was all over for me.

Hey all. Thanks for coming out. Many of you have seen us grow from 30 cars to over 10 times that. We thank you all. It was a great show, great attendance and cars. The Iron Lords and Road Devils did a great job.

As for quality. Each year we get there earlier and clean it up bit by bit. There are cars that sneak in the side streets, and is hard to find the owners. Disorderly Drunk and I talked a lot, and have found some ways to clean up, with the help of the car clubs. I think we do well considering there are about 13 ways to get into the street. Hopefully next year the clubs and Ted will tighten that up, we want it more than anyone.

And yes, that Damn caprice snuck in, parked and no one could find the driver. Since we can't lock down the street with barriers, and have to do it with road blocks and human bodies.

Over all, it was a great show! And if you want better quality, show up. .. early!

We had a lot of fun. Some people get all torqued off about the trash that comes in but I still enjoy this show. Any time I can get in the car, cruise to a show with my friends and hang out all day is a good day to me.

Better late than never here are some pics.....

Our club was asked to present trophies this year for best engine and our club choice.

The best engine trophy is a top fuel piston on a custom made base. Our club member Allen made the base out of rosewood and did the custom checkered inlay.

The club choice trophy was entirely hand crafted by our club member Porkchop. It turned out so good he almost didn't want to give it away.

The Choice trophy went to Tom Addley (32Gnu) for his 32 3 window

Best Engine went to Tom McCain for his v8-60 powered belly tanker. We were lucky enough to hear this sucker run and boy did it sound awesome!
