Technical Headlight switch 52 Chevy truck

    Can't seem to get the light switch out of the dash of my 52 pickup to replace it. Knob and shaft come right out after pushing the retainer button. But how do you get the switch out? Don't want to ruin dash forcing it. One of you have no doubt been here before. Any help? Thanks.

    Mine has a nut (1/2" if I remember right) on the front that holds the switch in.
     
  3. ...if it's an original, the chrome bezel on the front side of the dash unscrews.

    Thank you all! Seems the bezel screw is simply frozen in place so was not obvious it was a screw. Pretty clear in this picture above. Lots of liquid wrench next.

    Now, that is some great tech info. Look for the release button on many light switches.
