Hot Rods Headlight Identification?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by High Plains Drifter, Jan 25, 2019.

  1. Alright guy's, see if anyone knows what this is off of? I did a little research with no luck! A buddy of mine stopped by the shop with this headlight that he got from his brother. Maybe foreign? The glass lens was painted blue down the center, you can still see some of the paint on the lens. There were so many car manufactures back then, who knows! 0124191242a.jpg 0124191242.jpg 0124191243a.jpg 0124191243.jpg I'm stumped!

With that doo-dad on the top I would suspect Nash or Hudson around 34-36. I know they both usually had their logo on the same doo-dad. Maybe Studebaker?

hard to believe there is no manufacturers markings anywhere. have you looked inside? what diameter is the glass, and how deep is the bucket?
  7. That flat piece of glass in the centre, from top to bottom with the hexagon probably had an ornament strip in there before it was painted blue. How about MG . They had a hexagonal emblem/badge.
