Greg, what's the difference between 35 and 36? Isn't the 36 longer? I thought this one looks kinda long.

  3. i obviously own a `36 and have owned a `35 in the past , but that doesn't qualify me as an expert. but i believe both headlight buckets are the same except for the length of the mounting stud and the headlight ring/headlight lens

    35's have a long stud , 36 is short

or i may be all wrong

Maybe it's the stock lense that's the difference. 36's are more bulbous.

It looks like a '40-'41 one ton truck, they used leftover '35 car buckets but factory converted to sealed beam... the trucks had a 1/8" to 1/4" deeper bezel, it hid the beam's retainer ring... to look like a lens...
nice option, good traditional look... had 4 pair over the years... last ran them on a custom rod '05 ...

  6. The headlight buckets were basically the same for 1935 & 1936 passenger car as well as 1938 & 1939 commercial vehicles. Trucks used the 1935 type headlight rim.
The 1940 & 1941 big truck headlights were similar, but not the same. 1940 & 1941 big truck rims are not interchangeable. Try it and you will see that they don't interchange.

  8. I’ll have to crack them open when i get a chance and post some more pics. That will give me a positive I.D. For sure. Whatever they are from , I’m pretty happy I got ‘em. Swapped some modern street rod lights for them.
