While going through my grandfather's "stuff", my dad ran accross these glass lens'. I don't have a clue what they fit. Does anyone know. 4 lens', 2 singles and one pair. lens #1 Lens#2 pair of lens#3
They look to be aftermarket lens from the early days of automobiles. They had placed a law you couldn’t have flat glass lens. So many manufacturers got into making lens for the headlights and used many geometric shapes to break up the light beams to meet the new law standards. I think they made some really cool and wild ones in colors browed and funky designs..
In the teen's and twenty's there were many different size and make of headlight buckets. So, yes they would fit the size of the bucket regardless of who made it. Often times the size may be in fine print on the lens. measurement would be across the portion that would fit the trim ring, not the total diameter
Lens #1 has ( 9-7 3/8 ) written on it in the upper edge. Does that mean that the outer edge is 9" and the lense portion is 7 3/8" ? ( I don't have them in my possession to measure?. Also if so any idea what that size fits. Lens #3 pair has 8 1/2" written on it. Any idea what cars take this size? Thanks
If anyone can use any of these, they can get them at no charge, just shipping. Message me if interested. I like to put things back in use.
