Just detailing under the hood on my 49 Hudson. Looking for good quality
chrome head bolt covers. 1/2 inch studs so it has 3/4 inch nuts, need 21.
    Any ideas?

Thanks Krooser. I'd like to stay away from the plastic ones if possible.
Somebodies gotta have some metal ones. Maybe I'm just anal but there's
not a handful of plastic in the whole car and I'd rather keep it that way.

Ever consider replaceing the studs with allen head cap screws ? You can even get " button heads" that are very low profile rounded heads.
However for Head bolts ,stay away from stainless steel, they look great, but stainless is really not a hi-strength fastener & often not heat treated either. Another surprising thing I learned when I sold fasteners for an industrial supplier for a number of years.

Yep, thats why I just put in the ARP studs & nuts. The old Twin-H 308
flattie needs all the help I can get to hold the head gasket under the
    Clifford head(175 psi cranking compression).
