I drove out to my brother's place (east of Danville, IN) at around lunchtime today and we headed over to Decatur in his 64 T'bird with Joe Kerr following us in his bitchin "A" coupe. We followed him to his motel (just north of the event venue and then we headed up to Clinton for tonight action. Here are a few pic of the many that I shot today and tonight. Roo Joe Kerr's killer 401 Buick powered Modal A--a real driver that already has enough miles on it to wear out a pair of rear tires My brother's T'bird--totally home built--body, paint, upholstery, bagged suspension etc, all done in his home garage. We blew a bag tonight on the way back to the motel but due to the fact that he built it right we simply rolled on with nothing dragging on the ground. Steve Panaritis aka The Greek (R) and my brother in the parking lot at the motel Goodguys Indy 2010 Nostalgia Top Fuel winner Randy Bridges and car owner Joe Hendricks rolled up in this THe rest of the pix are from the square in Clinton
When I got dark I started to play around with some available light shots. These are all hand held at long exposures so the focus may be a little soft in some cases but I like the look. Roo I cheated on this one and rested the camera on a wall
Roo, thanks for the kind words bout my 40. Really glad you came over and talked for a bit, was great to meet you and your brother. Wish we would've had more time before they kicked us out. Gary
That model A is super nice. When we were setting up at Autorama he rolled in and that thing sounded nasty. Very nice car
always good to see the old panelbeater. Next time we should hang out longer. Thanks for your great shots.
