Measure the distance from the center of your front wheel to the center of your door handle. Then measure the distance from the center of your door handle to the center of the rear wheel. Then measure the distance from the center of the rear wheel to the end of your bed. Write all those dimensions down and that will be a formula of how NOT to do it.

so I wonder if under the new Traditional HAMB if post like this will be allowed. since it is not really a Traditional ride. (I love it, but wonder how the up coming changes will impact it..). still think you should paint it porsche fushia....

If it isn't, (and I hope it is) I hope all the informative threads are archived, and not tossed out the window!

There have actually been a few pictures at least, of fenderless 35- up trucks posted here in the past from back then. There were definitely some built in the 50's and 60's. Probably not many and I dont think they were quite that low, but there were some.

If it isn't, I am sure none of the stuff I have planned will be either, so I guess I will just go back to sharing cute pics of kitties with my facebook friends....

Russco came over on Sunday and got it running for me. Now it just needs exhaust and a few leaks fixed. Mainly a tranny leak that I can't figure out where it is coming from. Probably a split line or something. It will only do it when it is driving so it is kind of hard to narrow down...

Here is an outside pic from the pretty pink side.

That looks good and correct for the traditional look. I am just repeating what has been said but the proportions are perfect. Some don't understand and what ever, to each their own.

Could be "burping" just a little out the fill tube when you're driving. I chased that once for the initial 20 miles or so after a new setup.

Pink is definitely your thing man.:)

A build thread. Fuck drama, leave that for the high school girls.

Take a look at the o-ring on the dipstick tube.
And, think about the fact that if it only does it running, your leak is on the pressure side of the system. Look at your cooler lines, rear seal.

The tranny leak was a crack in the case. I swapped it out for another tranny I had in the corner and it seems to be all fine now. Taking it for exhaust tomorrow.

The proportions are nice. (these trucks are difficult to get to look like they were simply 'altered' without going through a myriad of changes!)

It looks good. Mine is coming along. Everything looked good in the mockup, but I'm beginning to doubt it. The grille which is reminiscent of a 32 is looking to short and it looks wide. I'm building out of leftover parts. May end up wit a ugly truck but we'll see.

  29. thats shits bad ass! i like it.

Really nice truck! As others have said, proportions are dead-on!
