Was going to look-up some t-5 tech and low and behold, the tech archive doesn't seem to be here anymore. Did I miss something?
I was looking for the T-5 tech links that Flat Ernie had assembled. His list of links made it easy to find just about anything on T-5s.
Factory stuff: http://www.flatheadv8.org/T5Service.pdf Gathered stuff: http://www.flatheadv8.org/T5Rebuild.pdf And, this might be the page. Search is working funky: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/transmission-t5-tech-links.169265/
Here's a link to Flat Ernie's post you were looking for. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/transmission-t5-tech-links.169265/ Couldn't find the tech archive either, gone missing?
Thanks guys, for the links. So, apparently, the Tech threads are still available...they've just been cast into oblivion on the main board. Guess there's no room on the new, improved HAMB for a Tech index? Naaah... that's too simple.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the main page there is a tab in the middle of the page that says Thread Display Options. Click on that, go to the prefix tab and open then scroll down menu, scroll down to Technical and then click on the set options button on the right, that will bring up every post tagged with technical which all the old tech archives have been added to.
That thread display option does work; but is nowhere near the same as the old tech archives. Seems easier to search by subject now.
Yeah,I'm afraid so. It seems that the update was a mixed bag,we gained a lot of features that made the site easier to post photos and videos but with the change we lost the ease of access to a huge collection of technical post. Most are still out there but you do have to invest a lot of time tryng to sort through the thousands of threads to find that particular gem your looking for. HRP
