I see Speedway has their washable 3 7/8" X 2" air filters for $7.99. The same filter from K&N cost around $30 discounted. If the Speedway filter is any good that's a huge savings.

  2. Probably the same thing,,this is the information listed about the filter. HRP

    3-7/8 Inch Washable Air Filters

Our washable replacement filters outlast typical paper
media filters because they can be washed and reused.

Simply wash the filter using K&N Filter Cleaner and then

re-oil it with K&N Air Filter Oil.

The only problem that I see with the product is that it is a cheap Chinese knock-off. In my estimation buyer beware of China imports parts

I agree to an extent, but we use Chinese products every day. I just hate to spend 4 times the amount. I'm hoping someone has actually tried these and can give real feed back.

Thanks for the reply, that's the kind of feedback I was hoping for. By the way, like your car. Have you done anything to it since you posted your photo albums?

I've had the larger size version on my '69 Suburban daily driver for the last couple years. It's as good as any K&N I've owned, and a huge savings over the K&N I've previously purchased. Mine was $19.99, vs. $120 for K&N. I also use the K&N filter charger system to clean and lube it, and it works great!

When the K&N type filter is a little dirty, it actually cleans better. I just take mine apart and knock the big chunks and bugs off, then put it back on.
