Has anyone laid eyes in person on the model a "rat rod" frame speedway sells?

    I have seen this model a "rat rod" frame in speedways book, but has anyone seen this thing in person? Is this thing junk or what? :confused::confused::confused:

    maybe 5 years ago, rat rod is a brand name now. id bet its a new model a frame with a z'ed rear end or something.

    their ad says a 24" tire will give 4 1/4" ground clearance on the front end.... okay, you got your 15" wheel, so your total tire sidewall is... 9" for a grand total of 4 1/2" below the rim? Nice scrub line speedway.

    I just noticed I have a new Speedway catalog next to my right foot, I should organize things around here.
     
  10. is it my eyes, am i looking at that wrong ? or it the rear set up to be underslung? to match that huge kink in the front.

    The rear end mounts above the frame. Thats kinda cheesey I think.

    I saw " ratrod frame" and expected to see two 15 ft sticks of exhaust tubing and some old fence T posts.

    under slung rear doesn,t have to be cheesey...mine is a four bar with 5 inchs at ride heightjust have to have a sway bar and good shock..none of with i see in the pic,,,so to do it rite ,build your own

    I mounted a Tudor body on a guys homebuilt frame that was underslung in the rear like that awhile back. What a pita to build the floor/ bodymounts! Coupe, roadster or truck with no trunk floor might be ok but if your building a sedan I'd look for something else, seriously.
