Congrats! You're going to love every minute of retirement. I retired 12 years ago - built a T bucket and and just finished a Nailhead powered '34 Ford pickup. Life is real good.

  3. Congratulations! It's gonna feel weird not going to work on Monday!

  4. Congratulations, Jack. That's a nice accomplishment. We'll expect regular progress reports to prove you're not just drinking beer and looking at the projects.

  8. Congrats! I retired from Dow Chemical on July 31, 2009 with 34 years of service and can't believe how fast this year has gone by! Retirement is the best job you will ever have! Enjoy and cherish each day.

congrats....made mine final on May 7th of this year. If nothing else, those afternoon naps are now kind of like a religious experience......learn to enjoy them.

Retirement rocks - especially if you're young (or young at heart). I retired when I was 41 and have lived a hot rod life ever since. You're going to have a ball.

    Congratulations on your retirement.
Now you will wonder how did I ever work and get anything done on my projects?

Someone said, "The worst thing about retirement is that you never get a day off!", but I forget who.

In short order you will be wondering how you ever had time to work.

    Enjoy the good life!

I put in 39 years at Xerox and retired in '08. Never looked back when I left.
