  8. Awesome man, now get out in the shop and build something, no really, you've done your time for the man, now enjoy your time doing something else you like. Congrates from one retired old man to another.

Yaaaay! Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment...so many don't even make it to retirement. I'd bet you're not gonna be one of those that "doesn't know what to do with himself" after retirement. Gotta have a hobby. Good luck with everything.

  23. Great! I've been retired [for the 3rd time] for about 3 weeks now. Man, I feel rested and have time to live my "real" life. Work usta get right in the way of my real life.

Man, I seriously want to retire too. Sadly not even close. Likely be working to my last days.

  25. For me, retirement meant less money coming in and more time to spend it. But I adapted.

Make sure you keep busy. I retired from PPG Canada, Nov. 2008 at age 47. Full pension with benefits. Now I work part time at a Speed Shop and work full time at a Goodyear Rubber, factory. I work more now than I did at PPG.
    Good luck, and Keep Busy.

I retired 7 years ago and never knew time could go so fast!

Every day is a Saturday and every night is a Friday night!!! Best thing I ever did.

Welcome to the club. Pulled the plug 7 years ago. I am always amazed by the guys who are retired that say "This is the hardest thing I have ever done. How do you keep busy?" Or the guys that won't retire for fear they will not know what to do with their time.

I don't know how I ever found time to go to work. Embrace it.

    Mike.
