Just got back from signing all my "termination" papers and cleaned out my office, 37 years at Beech Aircraft and i'm now a free man! Just love it, highly recomended to all.
Awesome man, now get out in the shop and build something, no really, you've done your time for the man, now enjoy your time doing something else you like. Congrates from one retired old man to another.
Congrtaulations. I left 9 years ago and I'm still looking for something NOT to like about retirement!
I'm trying to do that at 45... thats my goal... I have 7 years to make as much money as possible... I think I can pull it off... hahhahahaha Congrats..
congrats from here too. Another 12 for me if I make it that far. Bet you'll be so busy you'll start wondering how you made time to go to work
Yaaaay! Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment...so many don't even make it to retirement. I'd bet you're not gonna be one of those that "doesn't know what to do with himself" after retirement. Gotta have a hobby. Good luck with everything.
You suck! Just kidding, Congrats! Wish I could retire i'm 55 and don't see retirement in even the distant future!
thanks for al the kind words, got 5 hot rod projects going in the shop right now, decided to work a minimum of 4 hours a day out there have the ac installed, 41 ford shop truck for a guy in wichita, 26 tee for a guy here in derby, model a chassis, 54 ford convertable , my 51 shoebox hub harness chopped for me...........life is real friggin good!
Great! I've been retired [for the 3rd time] for about 3 weeks now. Man, I feel rested and have time to live my "real" life. Work usta get right in the way of my real life. Work on my 34 has stepped up a few notches...getting more done. Congrats
Make sure you keep busy. I retired from PPG Canada, Nov. 2008 at age 47. Full pension with benefits. Now I work part time at a Speed Shop and work full time at a Goodyear Rubber, factory. I work more now than I did at PPG. Good luck, and Keep Busy. Roger
Enjoy!! I retired 7 years ago and never knew time could go so fast! Every day is a Saturday and every night is a Friday night!!! Best thing I ever did.
Welcome to the club. Pulled the plug 7 years ago. I am always amazed by the guys who are retired that say "This is the hardest thing I have ever done. How do you keep busy?" Or the guys that won't retire for fear they will not know what to do with their time. I don't know how I ever found time to go to work. Embrace it. Mike.
