I 2nd that everyone! And if you guys are watching the parade tomorrow watch for Dick's Sierra Madre (SP?) Float. The float is the reason we haven't see much of the "Godfather" of HA/GR (Old6) on the board. Maybe Tom can give us more info. Rocky

Here's hoping 2011 is a helluva lot more productive (as well as other things) than 2010! Still scraping together parts though. Some parts NOT shown:D. Heads are a-comin'!

The only other pic I have are of myself sitting in the same place my pop-in-law is sitting. Hopefully we'll be back in our house in a couple of weeks (looong story). My hope is in about a month I can start working on it in earnest and get the frame layed out. Still hoping Lee can weld the frame up for me once it's roughed in:rolleyes:.

May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts.

May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $50 bills.

May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!

May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy

May the problems you had, forget your home address!

    In simple words .............

May 2011 be the best year of your life!!!

    Thank you, gentlemen.

It's a floral representation of the mission San Carlos de Borromeo de Carmelo. That's the second Spanish mission of Father Junipero Serra's in California, quite a bit of history there.

The 12 butterflies failed for judging (a toggle switch) but we picked up another award just the same, our second Governor's Trophy. We repaired it before the parade, and coupled with the fountain water, the music, and the cart's wheels, it was a hell of a show. The street dancers pulled kids and adults into it along the route whenever we were stopped, it was an absolute blast.

Due to a flooded engine we were put to tow at insertion and I had to leave the cart to steer the float (vac asst'd hydro steering with no vac asst). Six miles of that tends to leave your arms a bit sore.

Drying my boots out today, and relaxing.

Hoping to break fewer parts this year.

.......... and yeah, I had a little Dr Pepper.
