I don't see a New Year's thread posted yet. Too quiet here tonight... except for some bubble butt newbie on another thread LOL. Post what you want to, guys. Share some good experiences from this last year... maybe some stressful stuff that you got through. Pictures, thoughts... whatever. Main thing... let's celebrate that we're able to share our favorite thing... the intake of foreign substances. Wait... I meant hot rods. LOL Seriously, anyway, I appreciate you guys. Best bunch ever as far as I'm concerned. Don't know what I'd do without y'all. I wish the very best for every single one of you, for years to come. Happy New Year !!! Happy New Year Ricky. All you hambers are the best. I am very thankful to be a part of this. 2019 was a very very bad year for me and I just want to get rid of it. But I am still here, still have my old hot rod, and still breathing. Hope all the HAMBERS and their families have a great 2020. God bless.
Thanks guys! Glad you're hanging in there, Mikey! Glad to have you here. 2020 will be better, huh? You bet your sweet biscuits. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Happy NewYear back at you all! A good year ending and hopefully a great new year ahead. I aspire to get out on the road at least as much as last year and hopefully more. Aiming for a long road trip again this year in the Model A in response to last years trip in the pickup.
Personally, I'm looking forward to having a little more fun this year than in recent times. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
And getting my workspace ready. These shelves and more to be built. A big bench to build yet, more lights, paint and more. Gotta get the place looking like something for when I start my build thread and you guys look in on me. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I am going to spend the first day of 2020 in my shop working on the coupe. Race and show season is coming. She will be ready for spring.
Happy New Year, DD! You guys are always ahead of us. LOL In fact, remembering back a few years... I think you guys were even ahead of us as far as recognizing and furthering the resurgence of traditional hot rodding. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I remember when you guys on the other side of the pond were building some very cool traditional hot rods back when there were mostly street rods here. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Well, it's the dawning of a new decade. As I sit in my garage smoking a cigar and having a glass of bourbon, enjoying some quiet time before the storm that will be the neighborhood new years party, I have been reflecting on the past decade... I have had some great successes and some epic failures. I lost a dear friend, an aunt, a cousin, a grandmother, and a father. I helped my youngest daughter battle cancer, had a major surgery and nursed a wife through a near death bout with meningitis. I have also helped mold my 2 daughters into fine citizens with their heads screwed on straight and college graduates. I got to experience a fine young man ask for my daughters hand in marriage. I have traveled to europe and seen the sun rise in the land of the rising sun. I started a successful side business that is still going strong, Been promoted at my day job. I reconnected with some old friends, I developed a heightened appreciation of the finer and the simpler things in life, and I swam with dolphins. I held the hand of a man as he slipped from this world. I got even more comfortable in my relationship with my wife, I met a ton of new friends both here on the HAMB and locally (some of them are both) I was shown in more was than I can count that there are still plenty of good people in this world willing to do good deeds. I have tried to be a better, more considerate person. Fair and truthful in my dealings...my wife says I sometimes take it to far and let people take advantage of me but I sleep just fine and can look at myself in the mirror with no regrets. I have seen some talented craftsman and artist working their craft in metal and paint. I have seen some of the nicest rolling pieces of art a guy could hope to see. I have been blessed and lucky this past decade and the good times and laughter have far outweighed the bad times and tears. I try to remeber this every day and be worthy of these things. I look forward to what lies ahead in the next decade... weddings, grand kids, and hopefully a special project or two that I have been rolling around in my head... hell, I may even get to make the pilgrimage to the salt... With all of this in mind I want to wish all of you a very safe and prosperous new decade! Chappy
Have a HAMBy new year! Heading out to make some $$ with my band tonight. Hope everybody stays safe. Let's get those projects done this year...
