    Seriously, you both are fortunate to have each other. :cool:

    Will we see the '62 at the Jalopyrama?

    Been kind of wondering what you've been up to. Saw this just this morning.
    Concerning you guys building the car together...
    All I can say is... Wow, so cool.
    And when you help a young guy like this, all you really want is just to see a little appreciation.
    Concerning the grill shell he made for you...
    All I can say is... Wow wow wow. That's some appreciation right there.
    All I built with young Zander is a mini bike.
    @hrm2k you're awesome. :)

    The “kid “ is a grown married man now with a daughter only a few months old. I have a ton of fun hanging out working on his car and watching him get stuff done. When we started on his 53, he was afraid to wire wheel the bottom of the car for fear of damaging something. The 10 months we spent on his 62 was completely different. I had some real chuckles watching him take the cut off wheel and go nuts cutting shit up. Then drag the welder over and do the welding himself. This time, the wiring was my job. We used a kit and added a boat load of kool little things like extra interior lights ( got to see that child seat get belted in ). While my projects sat for that whole time, I wouldn’t do anything different.
    The first outing was to the Mob Town grease ball. The next venue was the Timonium Car Show in December……..while part of the PEP Boys display, it sure stood out as a classy 62 Impala

  10. Thanks for the update, it also appears he has gotten ridiculously good at bead rolling. Time for him to start helping the old-timer :D

    HE does help out. But since he works full time and then has to play new Dad when he gets home, time to work has dropped off a lot.

    He does push his luck. I had just finished installing and hooking up his new stereo (young guy, has to be Bluetooth) so he had to try it out. What does one play for an old man ?

  19. Great mentoring on the cars, now up your game in the music department!!! Rap is kind of the rat rod of the music world, IMHO.

  22. One of the most rewarding aspects of being into cars is passing it on. Good on you, John! See ya Friday.
