Hello, The last time I saw Ed Iskenderian was in 2017. Wow, he just does not age. We should all be so lucky. It was a part of the documentation of the original Lion’s Dragstrip Museum Grand Opening. The whole idea was a gathering of old racers that once walked the grounds of the 1955-72 dragstrip location and raced their builds. The displays were geared from complete refurbished hot rods/drag racers to newly constructed, old race cars by today’s builders. The all day/night event was pretty fun and intense with the cackle fuel event starting in the morning and an additional version as an afternoon delight to please all of those in attendance. The eye watering, nose scrunching walk around was intense to say the least. Jnaki Inside, conversations took place among the gathering racers. I was interviewing Mike Cook, taking photos and films of the race cars/event. My old films had been showing on the giant screen in the main floor wall for all those to see and remember what it was like in 1958-64. But, one surprise was in store after watching all photos… Original Lion’s Dragstrip Museum 2017
