There is only one Great car show and it's the "Jalopy Showdown" !

No other show around can give you what this show does ! If you have never been there then you are really missing the Greatest Car Show !

You did?? WOW, busy boy.

I have a feeling you missed the HAMB Drags cuz if you were there that event would have been at the top of your list.;)

My favorite so far- Roundup. Specifically the week leading up to it.

Show's I can't wait for? Pistons and Paint and the Hamb drags. I'm sick of not having a car, 2010 will be epic for me.

I work several shows a year but for my own enjoyment I can't wait to get to the LARS. The swap meet is as interesting as any I go to. Great variety in the speciality parking area. The roadsters are tops. The vendor area always has something new. For a car guy like me it's a good as it gets. I keep going back year after year for my 1000.00 dollar T shirt!

  8. Exactly! And even then it's only your opinion based on your experience.
How about "Which show did you enjoy or was your personal favorite?" might make sense.

So for me it's the GNRS - the 60th anniversary room was AWESOME (like the 75th anniversary of the Deuce the year before) and this years History of the Race car is going to be! Along with the Rod & Custom and Street Rodder Cover Cars room.

  9. :)We were Lucky to be able to attend 26 shows this year. Not everyone
with our 31', but we had lots of weather issues this year.:( We really
enjoyed every one, even in the rain and mud. Louisville was great cause it
may be the last, Jalopyrama was pretty neat in spite of the rain and mud,
and Jalopy showdown Drags was really neat too.... Guess its hard to narrow it down......It's all about special folks you meet, and the company you keep.
Tons of great cars that you get to see.....all combined for our memory books...

Actually it was 28, and I'd have to say my favorites were :
    1) three-way tie - Jalopyrama, and both Jalopy Showdowns
    2) for totally different reasons, Hershey
    3) Louisville
    4) York
    5) Wheels of Time (would be higher, but weather was brutal)

  16. For cars I'd say VLV, Billetproof, Strangers BBQ, Midnight Mass, Road Zombies BBQ and for overall music/cars.... Booze Broads & Hot Rods! ---then again I am bias ;)

Santa Maria strictly for the cars.

And GNRS is a great show in what I would call the "off season"

  20. HMMM, I went to Viva a few yrs ago. The last year it was on the roof before drama broke out. It looked like a fucking junkyard. Anyway, ya all know how opinionated I am:D. Billetproof in Antioch, my 1st time there, was the best for me. A lot of cool stuff, and most I'd never seen before. There were MANY great events, but that's the one that stood out in '09 for me

Went to a lot of shows in '09. But the best - since it's inception - is still the HAMB Drags, for my tastes.

Well, I have not been to every car show but the one I had the most fun at this year was VIVA by a long shot.
