this is a great thread surprised i past by it a few times and didnt read it , very cool
Very cool..the best thing about this for you is you will know EVERYTHING about your ride..plus all the invaluable skills and experience you will have gained. Keep it up. That's what makes this country great.
That's real talent.
yep it is. i like it its a quick easy little lathe. little compared to my other options at work. the ship yard down the road from where i work has a lathe with a 6 foot chuck and its about 50' long or better pretty impressive
go for it its a lot of fun. pm me if you need some measurements ive measured a few different cars already
yea its neat. i keep thinking if i do a few more cars i will actually be good at making them.
Man this is crazy. I've gotta model a too. If I see you at show, I'm gonna feel like a poser. I built my car, but I didn't BUILD my car. LOL damn!
Some real nice work man, look forward to seeing more pic's.
Wow, you got some crazy skills. I plan on becoming a metal fabricator (working hard on it now) any advice you could give me? You are one hell of a talented guy. Don't see to much of this anymore people would rather go buy some p.o.s. Toyota off a used car lot. Don't see to much work like this anymore. I really enjoyed reading the post. Man if you don't produce these and start a company that is pretty sad. You have the talent to start an amazing buisness and make some big hay and have fun while doing it. I know a lot of people who would want one of these deals just think about it. You could just make bodies, quarters, cowls, roofs, etc. You could make a killing.
so i started getting a little more done this week knocked out somebody work shot some primer, threw in the new door latches. im back to the phone camera. ill take better pics when i get it out of the trailer.
freakin awsum work.. will watch this thread
Wowsa getting real close, love the color. gonna miss that cold hard steel look
cold as a witches tit round here lately, glad to see ya making progress.
I'm tellen ya ...... impressive work. I'm on this thread beg time.
The finish line is in site man.... Keep on pushing!!
thanks, yea its been real cold out. their will be a few more steel bodys around here pretty soon. congrats on you guys getting those pics in the hamb calendar. what the hell has mel been working on this winter it sounds like a top secret project?
Damn that is so cool
Dont tell anyone, but he is researching the trilamination of the tiny spheres with selected metals and their subjection to a magnetic field and current destabilizers and orderliness of the proton and how the heavier atom reacts with the individual layers of metal, in order to re-establish a fractal set of pure kinetic energy in hopes of developing a continuum trans-functioner, in an inductive or capacitive load.
I am absolutely amazed!!!! I wish I had a fraction of your talent.
Too cool, can't wait to see it complete.
I am sitting here not even sure what to type.....Im completely and utterly amazed....that's insane man! I can't even drill a hole straight.
good motivation. Very skilled metal working. Grew up on Long Island, NY and know firsthand how brutal that cold is and how it will stop you in your tracks even if you have a shop (with a space heater). Good to see "young guns" doing things the right way- the old school way. I have nothing but respect for you and your work.
he cant drill a hole straight either haha
its a good thing he can bang on sheet metal
lol o thats it? i thought it be something a little more impressive
thanks man,yea its a bit cold right now, not too bad today. but next week im desert bound. heading to AZ for a week in the nice dry warm desert. cant wait!
I hope your not burning up my long board sanding all that bondo down.
well thats why i have 3, i kinda ran yours dry and it dosent work anymore. my bad. but like i say better yours then mine.
This idea's been kickin' me 4 a while- I agree-
I just found this thread and I'm pretty much at a loss for words except...Amazing!!
