With that done its door time ,I have to build these from scratch because there was none with the car and all the sizes have changed anyway .The originals i believe were flat with just a curve from top to bottom so its not rocket science here.Im just building the frame from 10mmx10mm bar then making a lip around it then ill sheet the finished frame in. once the frames are built ill make a decision about the final shape of the skins (might have to come up with an english wheel).heres where im at .

I really like that engine mount/cradle up front.. looks cool.. Almost a shame that the radiator will keep it from being seen when installed!

Is that a hupmobile? I like the frame man...and I must agree with kiwi Jeff about the slanted grill but thats my own opinion. I'm liking the build. Keep it up

It takes a very unique and talented person to take what you started with and view it as an opportunity. An opportunity for something very cool indeed. Thanks for posting for us to enjoy too.

My first real try at shaping metal ,started with 2 peices of scrap sheet ,and worked them into a teardrop shape, using a peice of rubber belt on the floor as a shot bag. and the back of the vice as an anvil .i have a lot to learn but its coming up ok.

Nice work but are you going to want to drive it? (rego) Your scrub line is non existant e.g frame will drag if you get a flat, Min 4" . You need to talk to TAC if you want to drive that thing.
    Cheers Steve.

All the laws here are harsh but i have it planned, it has to pass a db test when getting engineers approval. And a few other things just crossing my fingers.

Thanks dude, the cowl was one of the main things that attracted me to it in the first place . It doesn't help theres a 48 and an elky next to it, but it is kinda small. Looking forward to getting back to work on it thats for sure.
